What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy®️ is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment using ultrasound energy to stimulate the production of collagen. The treatment targets the dermis and underlying fibromuscular layer that holds the skin in place, without needles, cutting or disturbing the surface of the skin. Ultherapy®️ also allows direct visualisation of the tissue that is being treated, so doctors can precisely target the areas to be tightened.
What are the areas that can be treated by Ultherapy?
Ultherapy®️ is indicated for lifting the eyebrow, neck, under the chin. It also improves wrinkles on the decolletage.
How long is the procedure?
The length of the procedure depends on the area of treatment. Ultherapy®️ on the face usually takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete. Treatment on the neck or chest usually lasts for 30-40minutes. Only a single treatment is necessary.
Does Ultherapy have any downtime?
There is almost no downtime for Ultherapy®️. There may be mild swelling and bruising after treatment, but this is usually not obvious. Sporting activities can be resumed the day after treatment.
