Microfocused ultrasound with visualization (MFU-V)

Microfocused ultrasound with visualization (MFU-V) is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment using ultrasound energy to stimulate the production of collagen, It can be used to improve skin laxity of the lower face, neck and area under the chin. The treatment targets the dermis and deeper layers that hold the skin in place, without injuring the surface of the skin, allowing minimal downtime. MFU-V also allows direct visualisation of the tissue that is being treated, so we can precisely target the areas to be tightened.

How long is the procedure?

The length of the procedure depends on the area of treatment. Ultherapy®️ on the face usually takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete. Treatment on the neck or chest usually lasts for 30-40minutes. Only a single treatment is necessary.

Is MFU-V suitable for everyone?

MFU-V cannot be performed on skin with open wounds or severe cystic acne. It is also not suitable for individuals with active implants (like pacemakers or defibrillators) or metallic implants in the treatment area. Additionally, it should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Does MFU-V have any downtime?

There is almost no downtime for Ultherapy®️. There may be mild swelling and bruising after treatment, but this is usually not obvious. Sporting activities can be resumed the day after treatment.
