A birthmark appears as a spot, patch, or lump that looks different from the rest of your baby’s skin. You may see this when your baby is born or shortly after birth. Some birthmarks become more visible when your child is older or even during adolescence.

Eczema is a skin condition wherein the skin becomes red, itchy, inflamed and dry. Eczema can be of several types, including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema and seborrheic dermatitis.

Some skin related issues that occur in adults and children alike would require advanced techniques of removal/treatment. In such a case, laser treatments prove beneficial depending on the condition experienced and its severity.

Moles are small, coloured growths on the skin, that can occur at birth or can be acquired during the lifetime. Moles are usually harmless, unless it begins to change over time, indicating the presence of an underlying health condition such as cancer.

Skin infections can happen to anyone, and children are especially susceptible to them. There are many different kinds of infections that can occur in children, including viral infections, warts, impetigo, ringworm, etc., to name a few. Depending upon the type of infection experienced, and its severity, treatment can vary.

Pediatric surgery can be classified into two categories, namely, reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery is often used to fix physical disorders/problems that could affect the normal functioning of the body. Cosmetic surgery, on the other hand, is done to correct skin and bodily appearance to suit personal ideals.
